More snow in May

Here is something white and pretty to look at, but it is not snow. We did wake up to a bit of flurries this morning. It is too warm for it to stick, so it has turned into drizzle. That is good. I am finished with snow for the season. Snow's only good for ski season...if I can't ski, well who needs it , right?

I am working on dolls today and then off to the post office to send some things out. I have a pretty busy week. I have a Adobe Photoshop class tomorrow most of the day. I already taught myself a lot with this program, but I want to learn some advanced techniques. All of the flower pictures I have on this site were manipulated in this program. It is so much fun to play with!

Too windy for pictures!

Well, that took about an hour. Colorado weather is so unpredictable. The wind started blowing so much, the flowers were just whipping around. I got a few nice pictures of greenery while I was there, but it loks like I gotta keep going back.

My favorite flowers to shoot are not blooming yet, either.

I heard back from my mom and they are heading out the weekend of memorial day. I am excited! It should be fun, plus she has never been to my home before. I think she is going to be in awh, I am sure. I doubt she has seen a home like mine before. She will have plenty to talk about when she gets back.

Off to the botanic gardens!

Yep, I was working on a doll for a little while and thought,"man, it is way to nice out and I have a new camera. I need to get out of here and take some pretty flower pictures!"

So, doll making is gonna have to wait! My mom is coming to visit in a couple of weeks. He grandson, David, ws so upset (she takes care of them) that he wasn't going to come, so I am going to surprise him and get him a ticket too! Let's just hope his Dad says it is okay. It will be their first time coming to Colorado, so they should be very excited. So, before they come I gotta get my garden finished and get this house cleaned! LOL

Happy Mother's Day!

The day could not be more perfect. We went to the nursery after church this morning. There were so many nice things there. So, we spent part of our day planting moss between our precast pieces in our "English Garden."

This is a picture with my new camera. I am so impressed with it. I may not be able to wait to go take some more...It's addicting!

"I love a clean rug"

Mommy vacuumed all the rugs and cleaned the wood floors, today. Boo Boo just loves when I do that. Here she is just rolling around on it.

Oh, I am loving my new camera. It is so sweet. I had no idea. My last camera, in comparison, was a piece of crap! Lol Of course this is almost three times the cost, but it is totally worth it. No more procrastinating on going to the botanic gardens. It's gonna be a blast. Although, I should probably try to figure out how to use it. It looks so complicated!
Shadow likes it better too cuz it takes a picture so fast. She doesn't have time to do anything about it! lol Mommy is a happy camper today, that is for sure.

Pink Is My Favorite!

Okay, I am taking a break from doll making for a moment. Sometimes I just get so much done in a short time. Then I want to do nothing, for a while.

I love this picture. The original is nice, but I have manipulated it in Photoshop and it looks even better. I really like doing that to my photo's. People cannot tell if they are prints of artwork or a picture. Mysterious.

It is so nice out today. Sunny and warm. I should spend some time outside, but nope got to many details to finish inside. I do hope the weekend is this great. We got lots to do in our backyard. It will be so nice to have that all done. I feel like I keep saying that..LMAO. Oh, well.

Broken & Flaky

My camera is officially BROKEN. I told my husband that I wanted a nice one this time. Not that it was not nice, it was just a snappy kind of camera. Expensive, but more for vacations and such. Now I want the real thing.

That is on my list of things to do this weekend. Plus, work on the back yard. It looks pretty sad right now.

I totally missed my crochet class last night! What the heck?! I put it on outlook to remind me, but my husband was on the computer most of the day. I don't like using my laptop in my office for email, so I was not informed till well it was too late. I do have books on it, but I guess I could chalk it up to being lazy or having better things to do than trying to teach myself how to crochet.

I may just have to sign up for the next class this summer sometime. Well, at least it is summer and I have plenty of time to make that hat and scarf set, right? This is when I feel that saying from my name in an earlier post is right (At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible.) Crap, I was hoping I was mature enough to get past that part! LMAO. It was just not my day, yesterday. I hope it is better, today!

BOO BOO KITTENS!

Look at her here just loving hanging out. Lately, it has been so nice out that she bypasses breakfast and heads outside. It is so nice having our backyard secure enough to allow her to be out there by herself (or with the dog) lol.

She still has not figured out the dog door. I guess that is a good thing. So, I don't have to shut it at night. You should see her get upset when the dog goes thru it. I think she is jealous! Sometimes, she won't let Gin back in. Funny.

I think my dog is going deaf. I came home yesterday and was able to walk right up to her and she was so startled that I was right there. She usually can hear me coming. So, much for security....she'd sleep right thru anything.

Sleepy Monday

I did not want to get out of bed this morning. YAWN. Shadow crawled in bed...she is so cute when she sleeps with us. I wish I could take a picture, but that will never happen, since she follows me everywhere.

So, my beautiful crabapple trees lost all there pink flowers from that freak snow the other day. Dang it!

It is about time to plant new moss in the courtyard and start getting my potted flowers out there. It is so pretty out on our cabanna in the summer. I cannot wait.

It looks like it is going to be a warm one, today! I really need to get my butt over to the botanic gardens to snap some flower pictures. Speaking of pictures, I dropped my camera the other day...crap. Now it works, but when you have it turned off, it stays on..so I have to take the battery out. That will not fly if I ever take it on a trip. I have not told my hubby, yet. It is a sensitive subjet...lol When we bought that big abstract (and paid like 3k for) the artist girlfriend took our picture...well she dropped it and ever since I have had to use tape to keep the battery in! LMAO. One of these days I will just have to buy one to replace it...maybe the same kind and he would never know. Yeah, right.
